- 5Approve Transaction: Approve the transaction in your connected wallet. The result will be shown in a popup.
Why Revoke Authorities?
Revoking authorities is the most critical step to ensure your token is seen as safe and immutable by decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and the broader Solana community. Once revoked, these changes are permanent and cannot be undone, which guarantees trustworthiness.
- 1Mint Authority Lock: Prevents anyone, including the creator, from minting new tokens. This fixes the total supply, making the token non-inflationary.
- 2Freeze Authority Lock: Prevents token accounts from being frozen. This is essential for DEXs and liquidity pools to operate securely without risk of sudden asset seizure.
- 3Update Authority Lock: Prevents changes to the token's on-chain metadata (name, symbol, logo, etc.). This locks the token's identity permanently.
